Diamondbacks right-hander Drey Jameson has been on the injured record since early July because of elbow issues, and sadly the 26-year-old is now going through the worst case state of affairs. Supervisor Torey Lovullo informed reporters (together with Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic) that Jameson will bear a Tommy John surgical procedure, which can nearly actually hold the pitcher out of motion till Opening Day 2025.
The result isn’t surprising, as Jameson was nearly instantly shifted to the 60-day injured record quickly after his preliminary 15-day IL placement, and Lovullo indicated in July that the righty’s UCL had suffered some sort of harm. Jameson had been making an attempt to work by way of the harm with out surgical procedure and had been on a throwing program, although that program was paused earlier this week.
