Free agent right-hander Spencer Turnbull has been retroactively awarded a full 12 months of service in 2023 regardless of being on elective task from mid-August till the tip of the season. The MLB Gamers Affiliation launched a press release from Turnbull on the matter, relayed by Evan Drellich of The Athletic, explaining the difficulty. “On the time I used to be optioned in August 2023,” the assertion reads, “I used to be coping with a foot harm. I raised this with the Membership. After additional overview of my medical situation, the Membership has now agreed to reverse the choice and I’m receiving full main league service for the 2023 season.”
